The Cincinnati Bengals will open their season on the road vs. the Cleveland Browns, who (stop me if you’ve heard this before), have had a chaotic quarterback situation all offseason.
Cleveland brought Joe Flacco back in free agency, traded for Kenny Pickett, drafted Dillon Gabriel in the third round of the NFL Draft, and drafted Shedeur Sanders in the fifth round. All of this while still having Deshaun Watson on the roster, recovering from two Achilles tendon tears in a matter of months.
On Monday,
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Flacco would be Cleveland’s starting quarterback in Week 1.
The Bengals have plenty of experience against Flacco, who played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2008-18. Cincinnati never faced him in his first stint with the Browns, but will see the veteran to kick off their season at Huntington Bank Field.
Flacco’s deep ball is still a legitimate threat, so the Bengals defense will need to be prepared as they get their 2025 campaign started.
