San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said, “We have plans” for a few different players. The feeling around this training camp is that it’ll be the theme for players either coming off or dealing with injuries.

Jauan Jennings participated in individual drills. Media members captured Jennings catching passes and being active with the team. It doesn’t sound like Jennings will partake in any “hold-in” situations, as Brandon Aiyuk did last year.

told Jauan that he should do what’s best for him:

“We know Jauan, and Jauan knows us. I don’t really compare things to other years and other people. People have plans. It’s a business plan. It’s something that I try not to get too worked up about, because there’s not always something that I can do about it.”

The 49ers will need all of the help they can get, after second-year pro Jacob Cowing pulled a hamstring during practice today. Shanahan called it a little bit of a setback for Cowing, who is coming off a strong spring and summer. Shanahan was not sure how long Cowing would be out.

Ricky Pearsall was working along the side, and reportedly looked as close to full speed as possible. Shanahan said Pearsall was hitting his max GPS speeds over the weekend, but the team wants to make sure Pearsall’s conditioning is right before putting him back onto the field.

Shanahan was also unsure about Demarcus Robinson’s lingering potential suspension, but said the 49ers were tired of facing him and they believe Robinson can be a big help this season.
