Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Milwaukee Brewers fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.

In this week’s Reacts Survey, we’re asking fans what the Brewers should do about their surplus of pitching when Nestor Cortes returns in a few weeks.

Back in early April, you may have looked at the Brewers’ depth chart and noticed that they had exactly one (1) healthy starting

pitcher listed: Freddy Peralta.

At that point, Quinn Priester was with the Red Sox, Jose Quintana was ramping up to a bigger workload after a longer offseason, Aaron Civale and Nestor Cortes already were on the injured list, Tobias Myers was rehabbing, Brandon Woodruff and Robert Gasser were still shelved, and prospects Jacob Misiorowski and Logan Henderson hadn’t yet made it to the majors. Chad Patrick, Elvin Rodriguez, and Tyler Alexander were all forced into the rotation, as Pat Murphy “Frankensteined” a roster.

Fast forward to today, and the Brewers’ rotation now consists of Peralta, Priester, Quintana, Misiorowski, and Woodruff, with Patrick and Henderson all at Triple-A and able to step in if needed. Myers has also bounced between the majors and the minors and can step into a starting role. Cortes and Gasser could both be back in the next month. Barring any other setbacks for those arms, that leaves Milwaukee with 10 viable starters come mid-August.

A good problem to have, right? Well, we’re asking fans what the Brewers should do about it.

Quintana and Cortes both have expiring contracts, as Quintana signed a one-year deal this offseason and Cortes had just one year left when he came over in the Devin Williams trade. Woodruff also has an expiring contract but given the fact that he’s fresh off almost two years of missed time and that he’s a fan favorite in Milwaukee, I’ll leave him out of this.

Do you think the Brewers should look to trade Quintana and/or Cortes at the deadline? Or should the Brewers keep those guys for their veteran presence and, God forbid, in case they’re needed with more injuries?

Answer below and stay tuned for the results later this week!
