After signing combo guard Mario Saint-Supery from Spain, Gonzaga still isn’t done constructing their 2025-26 roster through the international market. 21-year-old Croatian Ivan Bogdanovic has heard from the Zags, among other collegiate programs. The 6-8 forward recently played professionally for SC Derby Podgorica in Montenegro.
He averaged 18.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists for Croatia’s U-20 team at the FIBA EuroBasket last summer. Along with Gonzaga, Bogdanovic has heard from the Louisville
Cardinals, Michigan State Spartans, and Texas A&M Aggies recently. No official visits have been set up.
Mark Few and his coaching disciples over the years have always looked abroad and searched through the international market, finding gems at times that put their stamp while in Spokane. Think of Ronny Turiaf from France, Domantas Sabonis from Lithuania, Filip Petrusev from Serbia, to name just a few.
At this point, the upcoming Gonzaga roster has 12 scholarship spots filled, yet is still waiting for the NCAA to grant Grand Canyon’s Tyon Grant-Foster a waiver. Walk-on guard Alonzo Metz is the only other reported committed player for next season who isn’t on scholarship.
