Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has been warned his time at the Catalan giants is up and it’s time to head to Saudi Arabia.
Clubs in the Middle East are believed to be keen on Lewandowski, although it’s thought he won’t move this summer.
Poland legend Jan Tomaszewski has had his say on the issue and explained why Lewandowski should leave Camp Nou.
“Robert should finish his time at Barcelona right now and go to a ‘lighter’ club in Saudi Arabia, as the best players in the world have done, except
ADMessi,” he told Super Express.
“Let’s face it, this is the end. Robert is not very popular in the team, and the best players in Barcelona don’t pass the ball to him
“He stood firm. Of course, he has every right to stay. But he must realise that next season he will be a substitute.”
Lewandowski has been tipped to have a reduced role next season, with Hansi Flick willing to use Ferran Torres in his place and Dani Olmo as a false nine.
Yet he’s still expected to play an important role for Barca, particularly after enjoying his best ever goalscoring season for the club last time out.
