Woltemade pursuit has Bayern puzzled for now (FCB Inside via @iMiaSanMia)
Bayern Munich still wants Nick Woltemade...and VfB Stuttgart still does not want to give him up. For Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, the situation has been an odd one.
“We have a situation that has been talked about often enough. We made an offer. That hasn’t led to any discussions to date – and that’s the status quo. I’ve said elsewhere that I don’t like to talk about players of other clubs, and Nick Woltemade is currently a player of VfB Stuttgart. We’ll see how things develop,” Dreesen
told FCB Inside (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Our industry is so crazy that everything is normal and sometimes abnormal.”
When asked if the club would up its offer, Dreesen passed the buck (figuratively, not literally): “I must explicitly say that this is certainly also the task of my esteemed colleague Max Eberl, together with Christoph Freund.”
Bayern Munich will likely take another run at this, though it will not be easy.
BVB scoping Trossard (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
Earlier this summer, Bayern Munich was linked to Arsenal FC attacker Leandro Trossard.
Those rumors lacked substance, but that might not stop Borussia Dortmund from taking a run at the Belgian:

LFC to make play for Isak (Nico Schira)
Given how the rest of its window has functioned, it is no shock that Liverpool FC might turn around and spend the money it made on Luis Díaz...it was just a matter of which player it would pursue — Real Madrid’s Rodrygo or Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak:
Excl. - Agreement in principle between Alexander #Isak and #Liverpool for a contract until 2030 (13M/year) + the option for 2031. The striker wants to join #LFC and pushing to leave #Newcastle. Reds are set to submit a new bid to try to sign the swedish, who is a main target
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg also had information on Liverpool’s potential pursuit of Isak:
Understand: Alexander #Isak has already reached a verbal agreement in principle with Liverpool over a contract running until 2031.
Isak wants to make the move to #LFC as early as this transfer window. The clubs are in contact. His salary at Liverpool would be similar to that of Hugo Ekitike’s.
Newcastle are still pushing hard to sign Benjamin #Sesko – but Manchester United are also in the race. #MUFC @SkySportDE
Finally, transfer journalist Rudy Galetti also chimed in on the matter:
Liverpool are putting the finishing touches on their opening bid for Alexander Isak, expected to top £100m.
Talks with Newcastle are ongoing, while the striker has given full priority to LFC after reaching an agreement in principle on personal terms.

Saudis chasing Lewy (ESPN)
FC Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, a Bayern Munich legend, is drawing interest from Saudi Arabia:
Several Saudi Pro League clubs are weighing up a move for Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski, according to Mundo Deportivo. While the 36-year-old hasn’t yet communicated his desire to leave Barcelona, he has asked the club not to put up any obstacles if a formal offer is made. The Spanish giants are very satisfied with Lewandowski’s recent contributions for the club as he enters the final year of his contract. To date, the prolific striker has scored 69 league goals for them in 103 matches.
It has been reported in the past that Lewandowski has wanted to finish his career in MLS playing for a team based in Los Angeles, but Saudi Arabia could woo him with a massive offer.
Real eyeing Saliba (ESPN)
Real Madrid is taking a close look at Arsenal FC center-back William Saliba:
Real Madrid remain keen on signing Arsenal centre-back William Saliba but the Gunners are determined to keep hold of him, AS reports. The 24-year-old impressed Los Blancos during last season’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal tie between the two clubs. Even an offer worth over €100 million wouldn’t be accepted by Arsenal, and manager Mikel Arteta doesn’t want to hear anything about Real Madrid’s interest. France international Saliba’s contract runs until 2027.
