Let’s try that again, shall we? The Yankees opened up their second half on a snoozer, getting bested in Atlanta 7-3. Even that score doesn’t do the tone of the game justice, as the Yankees staged a minor comeback to make it somewhat interesting. Opener Ian Hamilton faltered immediately after being pressed into service with Cam Schlittler being held out due to some precautionary MRIs, and the rest of the bullpen following him didn’t fare much better. We’ll see how they respond tonight with a more
traditional starter on the mound.
Before we get to that, let’s run through what we’ve got in store for ya today. John starts us off with a look at old friend Isiah Kiner-Falefa and whether he could bolster the bench, and Nick Power follows that up with Jeffrey Springs as an option for the pitching staff. Peter covers what the Yankees’ rivals did yesterday and Sam has the latest 2000 Diary entry, Josh has another trade candidate in Ke’Bryan Hayes, and Scott rounds things out with another dive into the latest happenings in Scranton.
