Barcelona are now heading home from a succesful pre-season tour of Asia that brought pre-season wins against Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul and Daegu.
The tour saw Hansi Flick give plenty of game time to some more exciting youngsters as well as the club’s summer signings.
We all know better than to make too much fuss from pre-season tours but there’s certainly lots of positives to take from the trip...let’s take a look.
Gavi
Gavi admitted himself he’s “feeling really good” after topping the scoring charts on the tour
with three goals. He also captained the side and looks in superb shape ahead of the start of the new La Liga campaign.
The 20-year-old wasn’t a regular starter last season, as he made his comeback after ACL surgery, but he looks in the mood to give Hansi Flick a real selection headache when it comes to choosing his first XI for the new campaign.

Flick has plenty of midfield options but will know better than anyone that a fully fit and firing Gavi deserves a place in the starting XI.
Gavi’s goals and performances on the tour will also have handed the midfielder a big confidence boost and he’ll be hoping that 2025-26 can be his season.
The kids
Gavi also gave his backing to Dro Fernandez during the tour after seeing the 17-year-old score on his debut against Vissel Kobe. There’s been plenty of talk about Dro recently and he certainly lived up to expectations and then some in Asia.
Yet he wasn’t the only one. Toni Fernandez also scored his first goal for the senior side and offered Flick another reminder of his talents. More first-team minutes surely await him in the coming campaign.

Cousin Guille also enjoyed some game time, amid speculation he could be on the move, while Jofre Torrents enjoyed a dream debut and allowed many fans a first glimpse of a player who is already being tipped to be Barca’s future left-back.
The new signings
Barcelona’s new signing also enjoyed a great tour. Joan Garcia seems to have fitted in seamlessly and with the minimum of fuss after taking over from injured captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Elsewhere, Roony Bardghji has made a great start to life at Barca. He scored against Vissel Kobe and looks to be a great back-up option. We’ll have to see how he’s used during 2025-26 season but he’s another player who can surely expect first-team minutes.

The tour has also allowed Marcus Rashford to get to know his new team-mates on and off the field. The Manchester United loanee opened his account against Daegu and is clearly loving every second of life as a blaugrana.
The new season will bring a different test entirely for all three players. but they couldn’t really have wished for a more positive start to their time at Barcelona.
Lamine Yamal

And Barca’s brightest star of all was also flying in pre-season. There’s been a lot written about Yamal recently - and his private life after his 18th birthday party - but he got back to doing what he does best in Asia.
Yamal scored his first goals in his new No. 10 shirt, was simply unstoppable at times and really looks in the mood to take his game to a new level in 2025-26.
