Former Texas Longhorns star Jamaal Charles was recently asked about what it will take for the 2025 Texas football team to reach the pinnacle of modern college football, the College Football Playoff Championship.
“Every year, everybody wants to win – not just Texas – but everybody want to win a national championship,” Charles said, according to a recent report in Forbes. “Everybody has that expectation. We should just take it one game at a time and let the road go that way.”
“We’re not playing the national
championship in September,” Charles added. “Let’s play the national championship in January. Let’s just get one game at a time to get us there. I think the staff, and then everybody else they would preach the same thing I’m preaching right now.”
