A scary situation played out this morning during the Dolphins’ training camp session as offensive lineman Bayron Matos went down during a play and was later airlifted to a nearby medical facility.
Matos played his collegiately ball at New Mexico and South Florida, last playing for the USF Bulls in 2022. In 2024, Matos was named to the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program and joined the Dolphins after going undrafted. The Dominican Republic native stayed on Miami’s practice squad during his rookie
season before signing a reserve/future contract in January of 2025.
