Trade deadline week is here, and the news should start coming in fast and furious as Thursday’s 6 pm ET deadline approaches. This is the spot to make your predictions and discuss league wide deals as news emerges. We’ll keep this post pinned to the front page until the deadline passes.

So far the biggest news today has been Bryce Harper getting into it with Rob Manfred in the Phillies locker room over Manfred’s desire for a salary cap. The other big piece of news is no doubt a developing story. Emmanuel

Clase, Guardians closer, has become the second Guardians pitcher this year to be investigated for gambling activity on games, joining Luis Ortiz. Who knew prop bets and league partnerships with sports gambling companies might generate some issues? Yes, everyone.

We’re still not hearing any signficant Tigers rumors at this point, but that’s ok. They’ll no doubt go get some kind of relief help as they can’t very well stand pat without the fanbase ripping them a new one, and there aren’t a lot of obvious candidates to try and upgrade an offense that has been excellent until recently. So it will probably be a fairly quiet week for the Tigers, but this front office hasn’t been in this situation before, sitting on a huge lead in the division as the deadline approaches. We’ll see if the front office has anything surprising up their sleeve.
