Jules Kounde has spoken to reporters briefly during the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and had a few words on team-mates Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Marcus Rashford.
The full-back - who also announced he will sign a contract extension when he returns - admits that goalkeeper Ter Stegen is in a difficult place right now.
“Ter Stegen’s situation is a tough one for him," he told reporters.
"The truth is that he’s not with us right now, and it’s not something we’re talking about much.
"We know his situation
is complicated, and as a teammate and a person... I know it’s difficult for him.
"The question of who will be the captain is not something that depends on us; that’s a decision between the manager and the club. We have little influence on that.”
Kounde also says new signing Rashford is settling in nicely following his loan move from Manchester United.
“Marcus Rashford is happy,” he added. “He feels more and more comfortable. He talks to everyone, and I help him because I also speak English.”
Barcelona are now in South Korea and preparing to take on FC Seoul on Thursday in another friendly.
