CB Maxwell Hairston suffers LCL sprain
Bills fans everywhere were worried when they learned that first-round rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston left Tuesday’s training camp with a knee injury. While it’s never good for anyone to be injured in the preseason, especially a rookie who is trying to get used to life in the NFL, the Bills received good news when Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network described Hairston’s injury as an LCL sprain, and Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz said Hairston is “week-to-week” with the ailment.
In Hairston’s absence, fellow rookie Dorian Strong seems to be capitalizing on his opportunity to showcase his skills in the secondary, and Buffalo’s cornerback depth will be tested with Hairston sidelined.
