The final five rounds of the Dodgers drafts features two more position players, one four-year college pitcher, a junior college pitcher, and a 17-year-old from Canada to close things out.
16th round: AJ Soldra, Seton Hall outfielder
The left-handed batter hit .330/.426/.514 with 12 doubles, eight triples, and four home runs with Seton Hall, and stole 15 bases in 18 attempts, after transferring from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
17th round: Sam Horn, Missouri pitcher
Horn also briefly played quarterback (four games, eight pass attempts) in 2022-23 in addition to baseball,
but missed the 2024 season after Tommy John surgery. He came back to baseball only in 2025 and had a 4.22 ERA in five abbreviated appearances, with 14 strikeouts and eight walks in 10⅔ innings.
Horn was ranked the 94th-best prospect in the draft by ESPN, and rated 128th by MLB Pipeline.
“Horn creates quality extension with his 6-foot-4 frame and athletic delivery, providing deception with a low arm slot and release height,” said the MLB Pipeline prospect overview. “He’s still refining his control and command after working just 15 innings in three college seasons, but they should become average as he gains more experience”
18th round: Finn Edwards, Iowa Western Community College pitcher
Edwards doesn’t turn 20 until August, and had a 3.67 ERA with 45 strikeouts and 17 walks in 34⅓ innings this season.

Finn Edwards (@finnedward_s) comes out of the pen in the 9th and filled up the zone. The RHP struck out the side topping out at 98 MPH.

19th round: Anson Aroz, Oregon catcher
Aroz actually played more in the outfield his last two years with Oregon. He hit .281/.417/.583 as a junior in 2025 with 17 home runs in 57 games.
20th round: Shane Brinham, Handsworth Secondary School (Canada) pitcher
The Dodgers went north of the border for their final pick, and their youngest one in the draft, as Brinham doesn’t turn 18 until August.
The left-hander, who has a college commitment to Michigan, was ranked the 480th-best prospect in the draft by Baseball America, who noted, “After pitching in the upper 80s and touching 91 mph in 2024 with scattered strikes, Brinham has pushed his fastball into the 88-90 mph range and touched 93 in 2025 with more precision.”
