Cameron might have an NBA All-Star in attendance a few times this fall as Kyrie Irving, who is rehabbing from his ACL injury, may be on campus to work towards his degree.
Actually, he didn't specify when he would be back, but he told Kai Cenat on a Twitch stream that he would be back “pretty soon.”
He promised his dad Frederick that he’d finish within five years after leaving Duke after his freshman season but his Team USA obligations sort of postponed that. One imagines that a promise like that kind
of sticks with him, not least of all because his mother died when he was quite young. His father is the only parent he’s really known and that is bound to be an important relationship to Irving.
Now though he says he’s pursuing a political science degree and also has interest in psychology and economics. He might consider geography as well.
Whatever he studies, it would be great to see him in Cameron if he is in classes this fall.
