2024 stats: Did not play. Had five receptions for 81 yards and one touchdown in
2023 for the Gamecocks.
2025 projections: The departure of Trebor Pena means there is a big open spot at slot receiver this year. Russell will get a chance to win that job in camp. We expect him to be part of the Orange receiver rotation in 2025.
How’d he get here?: Chose South Carolina over offers from Virginia Tech, Central Michigan and Maine.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars and rated a top 25 player in his class in Pennsylvania.
