AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (51-49) lost 8-5 (BOX SCORE)

Ivey got the start for Sugar Land but struggled allowing 6 runs over 3.2 innings. The offense got on the board in the first inning on a Bastidas RBI double. In the bottom of the 6th, Barber connected on a 2 run HR. Tacoma added on some runs in the middle innings to make it 8-3 but Sugar Land got 2 back in the 7th on Davidson and Bastidas RBI singles. That was it from the offense though as the comeback fell short and Sugar Land fell 8-5.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (33-63) lost 6-4 (BOX SCORE)

The Hooks got on the board in the first on a Clarke solo HR. They got another run in the 2nd inning on a Guillemette groundout. Dombroski got the start and went 4 innings allowing 3 runs. In the 5th, the Hooks tied it up on a Garcia RBI single. The Hooks took the lead in the 6th on a Ferreras RBI double. Rodning and Bido allowed a few runs as the Naturals took the lead. The Hooks offense was quiet the last three innings as they fell 6-4.

Note: Clarke has a .935 OPS with the Hooks.


A+: Asheville Tourists (41-54) lost 4-0 (BOX SCORE)

Pena started for Asheville and went 3 innings allowing 1 unearned run. He was relieved by True who allowed 3 runs over 4.1 innings, with a couple of those runs coming after he was pulled. The offense struggled all night collecting just five hits as they were shutout in the 4-0 loss.

Note: Janek has a .791 OPS this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (49-45) lost 6-2 (BOX SCORE)

Palmer got the start for the Woodpeckers and pitched well tossing 5 scoreless innings allowing just one hit. The offense got on the board in the 4th on a Villarroel solo HR. In the 6th, Hernandez added a solo HR. Ogando relieved Palmer but struggled allowing 6 runs over 2 innings as the Crawdads took the lead. The Woodpeckers offense was quiet the rest of the way as they fell 6-2.

Note: Palmer has a 2.13 ERA this season.
