Lottie Woad is making her professional debut this week and if it is anything like her amateur career then we are in for quite the treat.
It would seem that this is the case, at least two rounds into the Scottish Open. Lottie was paired with Nelly Korda and Charley Hull for the opening rounds and emerged from them as the tournament’s solo leader. She has yet to make a bogey as a professional, obviously it has only been two rounds, as Beth Ann Nichols noted.
Lottie Woad now has the solo lead at the Scottish
ADOpen. Shot 67-65 to lead by two over Nelly Korda. The pair played together in the first two rounds. Remarkable stuff from Woad, who has yet to make a bogey as a pro.

Woad won the KPMG Women’s Irish Open a few weeks ago and contended at the Evian so it is not exactly a shock to see her performing so well. But carrying official status as a professional is a different thing for most people... Lottie may be the exception to the norm.
For what it’s worth Nelly Korda trails Lottie by only two strokes and would certainly like to cash in over the weekend. Following a stellar 2024 campaign Korda, the top-ranked player in the world, has yet to win this season, but it is surely just a matter of time.
We are in for quite the weekend in Scotland.
