Last week on Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate had a “come to Jesus” meeting with their newest member, Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Fed up with MJF believing they were there to assist him win the AEW World title, Bobby Lashley voted Max out of the group.
As we learned during his membership drive however, it takes a two-thirds majority of the core group to make changes to The Syndicate. When Friedman attempted to make amends tonight (July 30), he only found Shelton Benjamin in their locker room. MJF got Benjamin on his side
first while lobbying for his inclusion, but he apparently did so with a knock-off Rolex.
So now, Shelton is a thumbs down too.
He revealed that Montell Vontavious Porter is the only reason MJF got a shot in the first place. So perhaps there’s still a chance to patch things up?
We doubt it, but let us know what you think in the comments below. And get complete results from tonight’s Dynamite here.
