Acimovic, a center that the program lists as 6’11” in an official release, will join the Hoosiers as a freshman for the 2025-26 season, according to the same release.
“Andrej is a talented big man that we are excited to get in our program and develop,” Indiana head coach Darian DeVries said in the release. “He has good size
and is able to score the basketball in different ways. He is strong on the glass and has good defensive instincts and timing when blocking shots.”
Per IU, Acimovic averaged 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the U19 ABA League and is a member of the U16 and U18 Bosnia and Herzegovina National Team.
He adds onto the frontcourt rotation for Indiana, but given the names ahead of him and his age it’s fair to expect him to be a developmental player rather than an instant impact addition.
