After spending the second half of last season on loan at Watford, young left back Caleb Wiley has rejoined the Hornets for the second half of the upcoming season as well, and also the first.
“I got a taste of what it’s like here, and what this club is about and the potential that it has going forward. I said ‘why not run it back?’ I’m excited to see what the season holds.”

Why not indeed.
Though Wiley made just 10 appearances for Watford last season, he finished the season on a strong
note, showing glimpses of the talent that convinced Chelsea to acquire him from Atlanta United in MLS, and that had already earned him three senior international caps with the USA. The 20-year-old is hoping to add to those next season and at next summer’s World Cup as well.
But he’ll have to stay fit first. He missed more than five months last season with various injuries, including a separated shoulder. In the first half of the campaign, when he was on loan at RC Strasbourg, he managed just six appearances.
Good luck, Caleb!
