The reporting on Bayern Munich’s transfer window this summer has been nothing short of erratic. Priorities seem to be scattered all over the place, and the fanbase is getting impatient. By these reports, the club has jumped from one transfer target to another and has not really gained traction on any of them (apart from Liverpool’s Luis Diaz).

Now — supposedly — the Bavarians are still contacting Xavi Simons, after RB Leipzig opened talks with Chelsea FC:

Chelsea are very close to agreeing personal

terms with Xavi Simons, but the agreement is not done yet. Bayern keep calling, Arsenal are informed - It’s still an open story, but Chelsea are progressing very well and are now in direct contact with RB Leipzig.

Making a play for someone who is on the verge of transferring to another club? Strange. It’s the same with Renato Veiga, who was linked with Bayern shortly after it was reported that Atletico Madrid had agreed to terms with him. Patience is growing thin and tensions are boiling, and with the season about to start soon, time is running out for the Rekordmeister’s transfer plans to come to fruition.
