According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha spent a good part of Thursday’s training session working with newcomer Luis Díaz, who is facing a bit of a language barrier:

Luis Díaz spent most of today’s session alongside João Palhinha. The Portuguese midfielder is helping Díaz with the communication, considering that he’s one of a few players who can speak Spanish. Díaz does not speak English well, but is able to understand most of the coach’s

instructions on the pitch well.

At Bayern Munich, the most spoken languages are German and English. There is also a fair amount of French spoken as well, but very little Spanish at the moment. Having someone to help is probably a relief for Díaz.

The problem for Díaz could be Palhinha’s status with the team. The midfielder is apparently headed to Tottenham Hotspur on a loan.

The Bavarians finalized the much-anticipated signing of Luis Díaz from Liverpool FC to give the team a new look at left-wing? Will the 28-year-old get an early starting nod or will Vincent Kompany hold him out a bit longer? That will be just one of the key decisions made for the match against Olympique Lyon at the Allianz Arena.
