The rumors turned out to be true.
Women’s World Champion Naomi wasn’t medically cleared to wrestle on Monday Night Raw last week, cancelling a previously planned defense of her title. Rumors quickly popped up that she could be out for a very long time, and the obvious speculation kicked in right away — perhaps she was pregnant and starting the family she had previously mentioned knowing she was running out of time to do.
Well, she appeared on this week’s episode to explain all and even before she went
out to do so, WWE showed a clip of Stephanie McMahon talking to Naomi and Jimmy Uso about a special announcement. They promised to air a special episode of Stephanie’s podcast featuring the duo immediately after Raw went off the air.

Sure enough, Naomi went out and had the big reveal right there in Philadelphia, via video from the Stephanie podcast:
This is a joyous occasion for Naomi, of course, but it’s also some truly rough timing. She just finally reached the pinnacle of her career, having cashed in the Money in the Bank contract to become champion while doing some of the very best work of her career.
True to that, she cut an awesome little promo on Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, telling him to get to stepping because she wasn’t relinquishing the title like that. Then she let the women’s division know they should thank Big Jim because he likes to Netflix and chill and that’s what brought them here.
“On the bright side, I guess The Bloodline continues, baby!”
She made this arguably the best baby announcement in the history of the promotion. She promised to come back, even if it’s while breastfeeding her baby in her arms, to get back what she was leaving in the ring — the women’s world championship.
