Barcelona will anounce their new captains ahead of the 2025-26 season, with plenty of speculation currently doing the rounds.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen could lose his role, due to injury and maybe a few others reasons, which means there may be at least one spot up for grabs.

The Catalans traditionally name four captains but actually went for five last season

: Ter Stegen, Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri and Raphinha.

All five are good candidates but there are plenty of other players in the mix.

Martinez has been hailed for his leadership qualities and may have a shout, along with fellow veteran Robert Lewandowski.

La Masia graduates Pau Cubarsi, Gavi and Marc Casado have also been tipped as future captains, while Lamine Yamal may well fancy wearing the armband at some point.

But who should be the team’s captains for next season?

Tell us who you think and why in the comments below!
