While yesterday’s drubbing was a disappointment, the sentiments expressed a day ago remain the same: the Mariners are in playoff position, and now have a chance to get ahead against a juicier part of the schedule that begins with the non-slouch-but-non-studs in Anaheim. Today’s faceoff in Orange County kicks off a quartet for Seattle’s longtime nemeses.
Lineups
On the mound for the Mariners is Logan Evans, with Seattle’s rookie righty taking on an Anaheim lineup that’s been uneven for much of the year due
to injuries, but has been steadied by Mike Trout as a presence, albeit not a world-beater. His counterpart will be familiar, with Anaheim hilling their All-Star this season, the southpaw of SoCal, Yusei Kikuchi.
