The Buffalo Bills kick off training camp this week! We made it!
With that, the biggest questions remaining for the team will begin to come into focus. Which one are you watching closest? I’ll give some short blurbs but what I really want is to hear from you in the comments.
Bills starting cornerback battle: Tre’Davious White vs Maxwell Hairston vs Dan Jackson
I am including Jackson here, but I think if he ends up starting, it’s because White is washed. I don’t think that’s the case, but we just won’t know until a week or so from now. They’d love for Hairston to win the job outright right off
the bat, but that could be complicated by a minicamp injury if it lingers.
Bills wide receiver battle: Curtis Samuel vs Elijah Moore
These are the two I’m looking at even if both end up actually making the roster, because what is the snap count going to look like? It feels like Keon Coleman, Josh Palmer, and Khalil Shakir are above this list and have guaranteed run, so what is it going to look like beyond that trio?
Bills defensive tackle battle: DaQuan Jones vs Deone Walker vs DeWayne Carter
Jones is the clear frontrunner here but if the two younger players can make some hay, releasing Jones would save some considerable cap space. I do expect this to be the final depth chart order, but you never know.
Bills safety battle: Cole Bishop vs Damar Hamlin vs Darrick Forrest
Who is going to be the starting safety opposite Taylor Rapp. I’m fairly confident that if Bishop stays healthy, it’s his job to lose. That would leave Hamlin vs Forrest for the last safety spot. Dorian Strong probably sticks regardless.
Bills training camp health: Is Joey Bosa going to play the season opener?
What is the health status of Joey Bosa? Is he going to be ready for the preseason? It’s the biggest health-related question right now.
