Bayern Munich normally kicks off the season with a training camp at Tegernsee and a friendly against local side Rottach-Egern which has spawned numerous lopsided wins for the Bavarians. At least for this year, Bayern will not be dishing out 20+ goals this time around:

Contrary to the past few years, Bayern will not hold a training camp in Tegernsee/Rottach-Egern this summer due to the tight schedule after the Club World Cup.

The last team to be on the receiving end of a Bayern thrashing was Auckland City, who shipped 10 goals on the opening day of the Club World Cup. Some fans humorously pointed out that Auckland served as the Bavarians’ preseason friendly.

Bayern will play four games before the 2025/26 Bundesliga season kicks off on August 22. A friendly match against Lyon (August 2) followed by Tottenham Hotspur in the Telekom Cup (August 7), then another friendly against Grasshoppers Club Zurich (August 12) before the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against VfB Stuttgart on August 16 for the first edition of the Nick Woltemade derby. Bayern interestingly have a friendly match against Red Eagles Austria soon after their opening Bundesliga game against RB Leipzig.
