This will be the first meeting between the cross-state schools since 2013. Historically, the series is very even with the Panthers holding a 1 game

Nova’s last win over PITT came in 2009 when a certain Scottie Reynolds crushed the Final Four dreams of the Panther faithful in the NCAA Tournament.
