Browns vs. Eagles Preseason: Game time, how to watch, odds and more

WHAT'S THE STORY?

The Cleveland Browns will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday in the second game of the preseason for both teams.

Cleveland is coming off a win against the Carolina Panthers that saw rookie Shedeur Sanders set hearts aflutter with a solid performance against the Panthers. There will be no repeat this weekend, however, as Sanders will be sidelined for a while after suffering an oblique injury in practice.

In his place might be fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who has been dealing with a hamstring

injury the past two weeks that has limited his practice availability. Gabriel will be a game-time decision, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski, but if the hamstring holds up, Gabriel will have a chance to state his case, albeit against a Philadelphia defense that is several steps ahead of what Sanders faced in Carolina.

It’s the Browns vs. Eagles on a Saturday afternoon, and here is everything you need to know about the game.

A Final Quote

Rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel on his mindset during training camp (quote via a team-provided transcript):

“Yeah, I think for many people in any situation, you either look at things as a threat or an opportunity, and an emotionally healthy mind always sees his opportunity. And for me, I just continue to try and be in that mental mindset and headspace, and every day is an opportunity. When you wake up, you can get better or just coast. And for me, I’m always trying to get better mental reps, whatever it may be, even in the training room, right, or in the weight room, there’s things that you can get better at. So that’s what I’m focused on. And because I have that good headspace, I’m just always focused on that every single day.”
