The Mountain West doesn’t do a vote for the preseason coach of the year. But 40% of fans in this poll think Spencer Danielson should get the top spot heading into the 2025 season. Ken Niumatalolo also got a bit over a quarter of the votes, and three other coaches had votes as well.
Fans are confident in the Spartans.

Boise State obviously got the most all-conference selections at Mountain
West Media Days this week. And fans figured San Jose State would have the second-most votes, with over half the fans feeling confident in that. The Spartans ended up with three players on the list, which was good enough for a tie for the second-most with San Diego State.
