Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is inching closer to its upcoming UFC 318 pay-per-view (PPV) event, headlined by a trilogy ‘BMF’ bout between former UFC Featherweight champion-turned-Lightweight Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier, who is fighting in his retirement bout in his home state of Louisiana this weekend, Sat., June 7, 2025, inside Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.

The two UFC legends have fought twice before, with Poirier holding two wins over “Blessed.” They first met in 2012 at UFC 143, in what was Holloway’s UFC debut — Holloway was submitted in the first round.
They fought seven years later at UFC 236 in an interim Lightweight title fight, in which Holloway was the reigning UFC Featherweight champion. Poirier won a unanimous decision in an absolute war.
Now, in a trilogy spanning 13 years, the two will collide one last time.
In the co-main event, Brazil’s Paulo Costa tries to snap his two-fight losing streak against Russian knockout artist Roman Kopylov.
