Dudinha signs with San Diego Wave

San Diego Wave

San Diego Wave announced today the signing of forward Maria Eduarda Rodrigues Silva, more commonly known as Dudinha.

The player comes from São Paulo FC and has signed a contract through the 2027 season for an undisclosed fee. The contract is pending receipt of her P-1 visa.

Despite being only 20 years old, the attacker already has enough experience with São Paulo. She has made over 65 appearances across all competitions, scored 14 goals, and helped lead the club to the 2025 Supercopa Feminina title.

In 2024, she netted four goals and recorded three assists in 16 matches.

Dudinha not only has been making a difference for club but also for country, starting to represent Brazil at a U-17 level where she scored five goals in 10 matches, helping her national team to get the U-17 South American Championship. She also played the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup the very same year and nowadays she’s competing in the Copa América with the senior national team.

It is important to mention that Dudinha will occupy an international roster slot.
