Chop Robinson carted off at joint practice between Dolphins-Lions

WHAT'S THE STORY?

The Miami Dolphins have been bitten by the injury bug along their defensive front over the past two seasons. After losing both Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb last year, coaches, players and fans are hoping to see a potentially fearsome Dolphins pass rush at full strength in 2025.

Well, on Wednesday at Miami’s joint practice with the Detroit Lions, another Dolphins pass rusher suffered an injury that halted the player’s practice, ultimately leading to that player being carted away from the session.

That player was second-year EDGE stud, Chop Robinson.

According to those in attendance, Robinson’s injury occurred during a scrum for a loose football that was coughed up by a Lions offensive player and looks to be arm/shoulder related.

The former Penn State product had a slow start to his rookie campaign in 2024, however he turned it on during Miami’s final 10 games — tallying six sacks during that time. The team’s first round selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, Robinson has been discussed as a future All-Pro talent by plenty of NFL personalities during the offseason. He’ll need to stay healthy to realize his massive potential.

We will keep you updated on Chop Robinson’s injury status as more information becomes available.
