Random Ramsdom: More second round picks are getting signed

WHAT'S THE STORY?

As the NFL franchises around the league sign their second round picks, the likelyhood of Terrance Ferguson finally signing his rookie deal increases.

Ferguson could be a weapon (rookie of the year), but he has to sign his contract first, and I don’t blame him for holding out for money. Why not hold out? Earn your worth, wait for your value.

However, it will be nice for the Los Angeles Rams (and hopefully Ferguson) when Terrance finally signs his deal. It should be one less thing to worry about, but

certainly more worries will come. That’s how it goes, solve one issue, and a new one emerges.

My hope is you have a great Saturday and please comment away! As they say, thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!

BREAKING: Rams’ Price For Terrance Ferguson’s Signature Has Been Set (si.com)

“The rest of the second-round draft class have been holding out for their fully guaranteed deals. That was until 49ers Alfred Collins broke the deadlock on Wednesday, signing a deal that guarantees 88 percent of his contract. That led to several second-round players signing deals with various guarantees.

Ferguson did not sign and for good reason. It was once believed he would struggle to get more than 88 percent of his deal fully guarenteed considering Collins was drafted ahead of Ferguson as were other players who signed similar deals.

That has changed as two tight ends drafted near Ferguson have signed deals, setting Ferguson up for a massive pay day.”

Rams’ Sean McVay Ranked Below Only One Head Coach In 2025 Rankings, How He Could Pass Him (lafbnetwork)

“He’s also energetic enough to cultivate long-term growth; look no further than how quickly the Rams’ remade young defense found its footing. Give McVay, who remains a near-unmatched motivator, a competent and/or reasonably healthy quarterback, and you’re locked in for a solid January fight,” he added.

Of course, that leaves the question of who he viewed as a better choice than McVay. Turns out, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, Andy Reid, received the nod. McVay being ranked second out of 32 head coaches is impressive, but how can McVay pull himself past the offensive Bill Belichick of our time?”
