Bundesliga Watch: Fenerbahçe hoping Granit Xhaka’s pending move to Neom SC

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka is on the verge of a move to Neom SC, but Fenerbahçe is trying to stay ready in the event that anything falls through per Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg:

Fenerbahce have held many phone calls with Granit #Xhaka’s management over the past 72 hours to convince him to make the move. #Fenerbahce want to be ready should a transfer to Saudi Arabia fall through.

However, Xhaka has already reached a verbal agreement in principle with Neom SC, as revealed last night.

The 32 y/o can earn €10m net per year.

New important talks between Leverkusen, Neom and Xhaka’s camp are scheduled for today. Fenerbahce are waiting.

The current tendency is that Granit #Xhaka will fly to Rio de Janeiro this evening with Bayer 04 Leverkusen for their training camp.

So far, no agreement has been reached between Leverkusen and Neom SC. However, talks are ongoing as planned.

Xhaka will most likely made that aforementioned move to Saudi Arabia, but it does appear that the Turkish side is ready to pounce if needed.
