Patchy Mix is set for his second UFC appearance, and he’ll face a stiff test in a promotional newcomer.
On Thursday, the UFC announced that the ex-Bellator bantamweight champion faces the now-former KSW bantamweight champ Jakub Wiklacz at UFC 320. The event takes place Oct. 4 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Wiklacz was a straight signing to the UFC from KSW, where the 28-year old captured the promotion’s 135-pound title and defended it successfully three times. “Masa” brings a seven-fight unbeaten
streak into his UFC debut, which includes a second-round submission win over Sebastian Przybysz in their historic fifth meeting at KSW 95 in June 2024.
Mix signed to the UFC earlier this year and made his octagon debut at UFC 316 against surging contender Mario Bautista. Despite Mix’s confidence heading in, he was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision. Now, the 31-year-old gets a full camp and the chance to make a statement in front of a very tough opponent.
UFC 320 is headlined by a light heavyweight championship rematch between Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira, while Merab Dvalishvili defends the bantamweight title against Cory Sandhagen in the co-main event.
