The grind at UNLV
Lost in all the internet speculation about conference realignment rumors and news are the players competing on the field. They are still grinding and putting in the work to be successful as they prepare for their upcoming season. This post interviews some players at UNLV, and they say they hear the noise but
don’t pay attention to it. Whoever they are playing, whatever conference they are in, what matters is preparing and playing the game.
Murray Mailbag
This week, Chris Murray discusses the in-state rivalry between Nevada and UNLV. He spends some time talking about true freshmen who have a good shot to play, and thinks it will be more than the number that played in 2024. He also offers thoughts on which Nevada sport has the best chance at a conference championship this upcoming season.
Reports from Hawaii’s first scrimmage.
Hawaii already had the first scrimmage of fall camp, and the general consensus was that there was a good back-and-forth from both sides. QB Micah Alejado made plays with his legs and feet, although the secondary got him for a few interceptions as well. Coach Chang has liked the competition from the players in the early going as they try to keep the intensity high.
