6, Mariners 4

  • That was intense.
  • My brain is a little melted after that game.
  • There was way too much stuff that happened in this game.
  • I mean, that was a game chock full of stuff.
  • Merrill Kelly showed up and was awesome, quite dominant, for five innings. His first five innings as a Texas Ranger made CY and company look brilliant for trading for him. He retired 15 of the first 16 batters he faced, the one hit being an infield single that probably should’ve been an out,
  • That sixth inning though…that was…that was…
  • The words, they do escape me.
  • I can’t try to describe all this nonsense in this game. I can’t. It was too much.
  • Too much things in there. Too much baseball things of a variety.
  • Missed opportunities for both sides. Pitchers getting into trouble then getting out of it. Pitchers getting into trouble and not getting out of it.
  • Robert Garcia has back spasms and left the game after giving up another two run homer. Fortunately, this one just tied the game.
  • Luis Curvelo made us all happy.
  • The offense scored six runs, even if they waited until extra innings to score four of them.
  • Don’t you know M’s fans are mad about this game?
  • Merrill Kelly hit 93.4 mph on his fastball, averaging 91.4 mph. Shawn Armstrong hit 94.8 mph with his sinker. Danny Coulombe reached 91.5 mph on his fastball. Phil Maton’s cutter touched 90.8 mph. Cole Winn’s fastball topped out at 98.1 mph. Robert Garcia’s fastball hit 95.2 mph. Luis Curvelo maxed out at 96.9 mph with his fastball.
  • Wyatt Langford had a 108.1 mph lineout, a 107.8 mph groundout and a 100.9 mph double. Alejandro Osuna had a 107.4 mph lineout. Rowdy Tellez had a 106.7 mph double. Corey Seager had a 106.2 mph GIDP. Joc Pederson had a 105.3 mph single. Adolis Garcia had a 103.1 mph fly out. Marcus Semien had a 102.7 mph line out and a 101.5 mph lineout.
  • Split opportunity Sunday with deGrom.
