The Portland Trail Blazers will approach the 2025-26 NBA season with reserve center Duop Reath in tow. Reath’s contract came to a decision point today. The Blazers have opted to guarantee the $2.2 million deal for another season. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype relayed the news.
Reath has been an on-again, off-again bench player for the Blazers for the past two seasons. In 2023-24 he averaged 9.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game over 68 appearances. 2024-25 was not as good for him, as centers
Deandre Ayton and Donovan Clingan pushed him farther down the rotation. Reath averaged 4.2 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.2 minutes per game over 46 appearances in 2024-25.
The 29-year-old has a single year remaining on his contract. The Blazers will have the option to tender him a qualifying offer and make him a restricted free agent next summer.
