Roony Bardghj has been offered hope he can be part of Barcelona’s first-team squad for the 2025-26 season by manager Hansi Flick.
The new signing scored on his debut in Sunday’s win over Vissel Kobe and earned plenty of praise for his performance from Eric Garcia.
Flick was also quizzed on Roony afterwards and was asked if he would be part of the senior squad in the coming campaign.
Here’s what he had to say:
“It depends on him. When he plays well like today... you see it in training, like Joan García,
ADRashford,” he told reporters.
“He might have a week less training with the ball, but I’m happy with what I’m seeing.
“The youngsters have to improve. It’s not easy for us this season, but like last season, we keep working hard to win titles. It’s not easy, but we want to keep going like this.”
Roony certainly shouldn’t lack for motivation ahead of Barca’s next two fixtures on their tour, and it will be interesting to see how he fares against FC Seoul and Daegu.
