Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb was run into by an official last week during the team’s first preseason game of the year. It was reported on Saturday that he will not be fined as a result of the infraction.
To be clear, Lamb was improperly standing in the official’s way when the collision occurred. It sounds preposterous to
say that he could have been fined for an official running into him, but by the letter of the law Lamb was in the wrong. While it is nice to see that he will not be fined the most important thing to note is that he is alright and that so is the official who ran into him.
The collision was a result of Lamb getting excited about a play unfolding in front of him and trying to show some excitement in the moment. We have all gotten carried away in matters like that in our lives.
