Training camp has started great for the New Orleans Saints, and one of the reasons for that has been their avoidance of injuries. Safety J.T. Gray was the first player of camp to go down with an injury, and the hope was that the injury bug would start to spread. We have seen this in the past with the Saints, and it can get scary. It seemed that Gray’s injury was minor, and he should be back in camp soon, but three more players are now dealing with injuries, including TE Juwan Johnson.

This is definitely not the news you want to hear, especially when Johnson has been having a great camp, is the number one option at TE, just got paid, and has a history with injuries. In addition, the severity of these injuries is unknown, but hopefully they are minor and nothing to worry about. Still, this injury to Juwan Johnson is a reminder that the Saints need to find another TE option in free agency. This could be Noah Fant, or it could be another option we are not talking about, but the Saints should still do their due diligence.
