Meet the Mets
The Mets lost to the Padres once again, officially losing the series in San Diego. Manaea had a nice start, going five innings and only giving up one run while striking out four. But it was another case of the bullpen blowing the game for them. José Buttó gave up five runs in 1.2 innings to pick up the loss. Starling Marte drove in the only Mets run of the game, bring Baty home on a sacrifice fly. But it was another anemic night for the Mets offense, with only four hits for the team, with Vientos
collecting half of those hits.
