With Summer League wrapping up, Josh Bowe and I now get to figure out how to navigate the Dallas Mavericks off season. With no international players on the roster now, there’s no reason to cover any of the overseas basketball happening, which means we may need to dig deep into our podcasting bag.
This episode starts with Josh talking about his lengthy and detailed post about Anthony Davis playing power forward. If you missed it or didn’t want to read that much, I implore you to go give it a read.
There’s a lot of analysis extracted from the data and this is the sort of thing you’ll want to know as Dallas heads into next season. We spend more of the show talking about this than I would’ve considered.

The second segment of our show, for now, is going to be a nostalgic one. It’s essentially Josh and I remembering some Dallas Mavericks players. I don’t want to spoil who we picked this week (we each picked one guy) because that’s part of the appeal. But I went with a widely known guy and Josh went niche. And it’s a really fun discussion. Sports are supposed to be fun and sometimes we all forget that. I am already thinking about who to pick next week.
