Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we’re talking about the winners of our annual Rock M’mys.
Thanks to everyone who voted in our annual popularity contest look back of the year in Mizzou Athletics. It was fun to go back and look at the excellence achieved throughout the Athletic Department last year, and I was excited to see so much love for Olympic Sports in a year where football and basketball had reasonably good seasons!
A note from Karen, who takes the thankless task of organizing this every year:
I’m super proud of how the
ADwhole thing came together, and I am thankful for our diverse group of writers for thinking outside the box and doing a damn good job making sure as many teams as possible were represented. Did we miss some nominations? Of course. But we covered a lot and we honored 15 different Mizzou sports teams, which matches the 15 from last season. With each nomination came great backstories so even if you missed that particular event or don’t really follow that team, you could still make an informed decision of who was most deserving.
Yesterday at Rock M and Rock M+
- Over at Rock M+, the Matts are going absolutely mad for it when scouting the 2027 basketball class. So many threads. So little time to read all of that data.
We’ve meticulously documented [Scottie] Adkinson’s development over the past year, and there’s nothing in this batch of data that undercuts our optimism about Missouri’s first pledge in the 2027 class.
Just kidding, I have all the time in the world to get hyped about 18-year-olds playing basketball for Mizzou.
