Bayern kicked around bringing in Krösche (Sport Bild via @iMiaSanMia)

According to a report from Sport Bild, Bayern Munich toyed around with the idea of bringing in Markus Krösche as a potential addition to the front office:

Markus Krösche’s name was discussed at Bayern’s supervisory board, but there are doubts about whether he would work within Bayern’s current leadership concept. Krösche is known to want to operate with freedom and would not allow interference from the club’s bosses in his work, neither transfers nor leadership style. As of now, there has been no contact

between Bayern bosses and Krösche.

There are ‘strong voices’ at Bayern that, if Max Eberl were to be dismissed, a complete ‘cut’ and fresh blood are needed. For them continuing with Jan-Christian Dreesen and Christoph Freund instead of Eberl should be out of the question. Borussia Dortmund, Milan and Premier League clubs are also monitoring Krösche’s situation. He’s under contract until 2028, but Frankfurt do not expect him to stay for that long. @SPORTBILD

This is a little bizarre to say the least. It is not as if you need a back-up board member for sport or sporting director. Krösche could be a name to keep an eye on in the future, though.

Chelsea FC could be plotting a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho:

Chelsea remain interested in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, reports talkSPORT. The Blues were previously linked with interest in the 21-year-old in January, and that any fresh approach for him would not hinge on whether they complete a move for RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons. Garnacho, expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, has also been linked with Aston Villa, but securing his signature would require an offer worth £40m.
