New York Giants rookie receiver Malik Nabers has already earned the respect of his peers.

His rookie season landed him at 67 on the NFL’s list of the Top 100 Players of 2025. This isn’t a simple media generated power ranking, but is instead voted on by the NFL players themselves, a mark of just how good Nabers’ season was.

It’s notable (but not surprising) that Nabers is the first Giants’ receiver

to make the NFL’s Top-100 since Odell Beckham Jr. was named to the list in 2018 (he made it four consecutive years).

Nabers had 109 receptions in 15 games (13 starts) last year, despite the Giants rotating through Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito, and Tim Boyle at quarterback. Those 109 receptions (on 170 targets) were good for 1,204 yards and nine touchdowns, making Nabers easily the Giants most potent offensive weapon.

The Giants hope to have more consistent and aggressive quarterback play from Russell Wilson than they got from the rotating cast a year ago.

Last year, Nabers’ average depth of target was 9.1 yards downfield, and his average catch came just 6.8 yards downfield. Defenses being able to play downhill against the Giants’ offense limited Nabers’ ability to generate explosive plays, both after the catch and vertically down the field.

More opportunities further down the field, as well as some better-placed passes, should help the sophomore receiver take his game to an even higher level in 2025. The Giants are clearly hoping that Nabers’ becomes the centerpiece of a much more explosive offense this year.

At least where Nabers is concerned, they’re off to a good start.
