Ishé Samuels-Smith was recently spotted observing RC Strasbourg training, so he was always likely to end up there. The only question was whether he’d go for just one season, or multiple by way of an inter-multi-club transfer.
It would appear that the answer to that question is, multiple. As in multiple seasons, as per multiple reports on Tuesday.
The handshake between BlueCo’s right hand and BlueCo’s left hand is reportedly to the tune of £6.5m, and the 19-year-old defender will be signing a five-year
contract through 2031 (which matches the length of the contract he had just signed with Chelsea back in April). There seem to be no additional clauses attached to the deal at this time, though as long as RCSA remain in the BlueCo family of clubs, we can always get him back pretty easily (provided he’s willing to come back of course).
Samuels-Smith joined Chelsea from Everton two years ago. He’s yet to make his senior debut, though he did make the bench on a few occasions last season.

Hearing it is a five-year deal and a £6.5m fee. It shows Chelsea's newish multiclub model can keep top talents as they push to sign Jorrel Hato from Ajax, who clearly will block his pathway. All parties seem happy with the outcome. https://t.co/uCiNFfdpQF
