Report: Bayern Munich ‘very interested’ in RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, but no contact made yet

Chelsea FC is still in the lead for RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons, but Bayern Munich could still get into the running for the 22-year-old:

Xavi Simons’ agents, including his brother Faustino Simons and Marcello Brillmann, an employee of Ali Barat’s agency “Epic Jackson” whom Xavi recently hired due to his good contacts in England, are present at RB Leipzig’s training camp in Donaueschingen and are holding talks with the club.

Chelsea are currently leading the race for the Dutchman and are in contact

with Leipzig. RBL are waiting for an official bid from Chelsea. Meanwhile, Bayern with Max Eberl are still ‘very interested’ in Xavi, but the club has not yet contacted RBL. Leipzig want at least €70m. Currently, a quick agreement is not expected. Leipzig are very relaxed and feel no pressure,

The versatility of Simons is appealing to both Chelsea and Bayern Munich, but the Londoners might hold an edge as Simons has been rumored to prefer a move to England.
